Spend your summer on the shore of Lake Michigan pointing kids toward Jesus and building friendships that last long past August. Camp Geneva in Holland, MI is hiring counselors for the summer, and we’d love for you to join the team.
What a Summer as a Counselor Looks Like
As a Geneva counselor, you’ll live at camp, share a cabin, and walk alongside a group of campers all week.
Your days will be full: leading Bible study, jumping on the jumping pillow, swimming in Lake Michigan, playing all-camp games, and cheering loud at the talent show. It takes a lot of energy, and it gives back a lot of joy. This is the kind of work that grows your own faith while you help kids grow in theirs.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You need to love Jesus, love kids, and come ready to learn. We’ll train you for the rest.
Open Counselor Positions
We hire counselors in both our day and overnight programs. No matter the program, you’ll share Christ’s love through Bible study, games, and every day moments with campers. Every counselor role requires that you be at least one year out of high school with previous experience working with children.
Day Camp Counselors work with 1st-4th graders during the day, leading Bible study, jumping pillow time, splash pad play, sandcastle building, and everything else that fills a day camp schedule. You’ll live in a Shores or Pines cabin and invest in those campers each evening after day campers head home. Applicants must be one year out of high school with previous experience working with children.

Shores Counselors live alongside 3rd-7th graders for a full week of camp, leading their cabin through Bible study, all-camp games, and swimming in the pool and Lake Michigan. Pines Counselors take on camp’s biggest adventures with 7th-9th graders, from Bible study to Challenge Island to cheering campers on at the talent show. You’ll be a steady, faith-filled presence for kids at an age where that matters most. Applicants must be one year out of high school with previous experience working with children.

Dates
Orientation and training runs June 1 – 13, 2027. Summer camp runs June 14 – August 21, 2027. Our full summer last for eleven and a half weeks, and we can work with you to give you some time off over the summer if needed.
Pay and What’s Covered
First-year staff earn $375 per week and returning staff earn $385 per week. Training is paid, and housing and meals are covered all summer. You’ll live on site from the first day of training through the last week of camp.
Who Can Apply
You need to be at least 18 by the first day of training, one year out of high school, and have experience working with children.
What We're Looking For
We want counselors who love Jesus and can't wait to share that with campers. Past that, we hire a team of different personalities, majors, and hometowns, because every camper should be able to find a staff member they click with. Introvert or extrovert, into sports or skits or crafts, there's a spot for you here.

Our summer runs about eleven and a half weeks. It helps if you can make all of training, and we can work with you on time off when you tell us early.

Yes. All summer staff live on site during training and throughout the summer, usually paired up in a cabin.
