Entering Grades 10-Age 17
Geneva High School offers a wide variety of programs for campers who are entering grades 10-12 and under 18 years old. High School sessions vary by length, location and type of program. Choose a session that works for your child to attend, and make sure to be aware of a few basic guidelines prior to registration.
Classic builds on all the best camp memories and amplifies the focus on community and worship. Many of your camp favorites will continue, including Challenge Island, beach time, games, and even some new activities! Classic involves a change of pace which brings deep interaction with one another and scripture as we embrace who God is creating us to be.
Join the Pack & Paddle crew and experience the wonder of God’s creation as you spend the week backpacking and canoeing portions of the Manistee National Forest and the Manistee River. Whether you are new to backpacking and paddling, or you already have experience, this trip is designed to meet you where you are at. Overall, you’ll hike 10 miles over 2 days and spend a day and a half canoeing, all while learning skills you can use in your future outdoor adventures. Geneva’s guide who is also an RN, as well as summer staff, engage campers and weave worship and relationship throughout the week. Relationships are forged and scripture comes alive in the intense beauty of this week.
The CONNECT day camp program serves middle and high school male campers with Autism. Campers focus on social skills, physical activity, and spiritual growth, under the care of counselors with experiences and expertise that make them passionate about serving in this program. This day camp program runs Monday-Thursday with an option to stay overnight Thursday night in a cabin and engage in extra evening activities and closing the week Friday morning.
Email genevaspecialneeds@campgeneva.org to determine if CONNECT is a good fit for your son and for instructions for registering.
Water Week combines water sports and a lifeguard certification course with camp! Activities like kayaking, tubing, challenge island, worship and Bible study fill our days in addition to lifeguard training. Pre-camp course work is required and campers must pass swim and written tests, and lifesaving skills demonstrations for certification. Once certified, there may be opportunities for campers to return in later weeks to help lifeguard. Note: The Red Cross requires lifeguard certification candidates to be 15 years or older.
Down the Road gives campers a chance to see a big picture perspective of Geneva, while experiencing small group community. We’ll live at our base camp a couple of miles from Geneva, the site includes a meeting lodge, firepits, bathhouse, tents large enough for entire cabin groups, and an amphitheater for worship. Each day we’ll head back Down the Road to Geneva to get a taste of what it’s like to serve in the store, arts and crafts, video, waterfront, or maintenance, and to do some high school specific activities.
Together Week at Geneva embraces the approach of Unified Sports and Links programs where campers with special needs and typically abled campers intentionally come together as peers for a camp experience where each are celebrated in community. Accommodating individual and group needs will be the norm this week as we engage in worship, play, and friendship with one another. Campers with special needs must have filled out the special needs form during registration, and typically abled campers must articulate interest and experiences with people with special needs prior to acceptance into this session. Registration does not guarantee admittance into the program.
Experience what it is like to be Geneva staff firsthand by partnering with a counselor and guiding a cabin group through the week. This is a two-week program, the first week focuses on developing the CIT community and studying scripture together while learning the rhythms of camp. In the second week involves leading a Shores cabin alongside a seasoned counselor to help run the program and invest in younger campers. Read more here.
Applications must be received by February 28. An interview will follow to determine acceptance into this program. Note that CITs return home during the weekend in the middle of their 2- week session.
