From greeting families at check-in, to working with campers directly, or from sharing the GENEVA story in the broader community, to sharing the resources God has entrusted you with, there are lots of ways that you can make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children and adults. We’d love to have you get involved at GENEVA.
Camper Check-in and Camp Closing Volunteers
Each Monday morning throughout the summer, we welcome in a new group of campers – close to 450 each week! Volunteer opportunities include parking cars, greeting and directing camper families, and handing out nametags (2 hours/week, mid June-mid August) In addition to Monday mornings, we also welcome volunteers to help greet and direct camper families as they arrive for the camp closing programs that are typically on either Friday evenings or Saturday mornings, depending on the week.
Campers with Special Needs
Throughout the summer, Camp Geneva will have a number of campers who have physical or cognitive challenges and need a little extra attention to make it possible for them to participate in the camp program. Your special attention can enable these campers to join in the camp activities and have a week filled with fun, laughter, recreation, and opportunities to learn about the love of Christ. Individuals must be at least 18 years old.
Spanish Language & Culture Week
Spanish Language & Culture Week (July 8-12, 2019) is a component of our Day Camp program created for children going in to 2nd-4th grade that participate in local Spanish Immersion programs. Volunteers are required to have mastery of the Spanish language. Individuals must be at least 17 years old.
Volunteers who enjoy working outside can greatly assist by helping cut the grass or maintain the landscaping a few hours each week. (2 to 3 hours per week, April-October)
GENEVA also needs the gifts of people who are skilled in hands-on work like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and cement work. Primarily week days when our year-round staff are available to work alongside.
